Three things I wish I could do well

We live in a world that requires us to magically know and do everything well without error the first time around. This is very unrealistic because we’re only human. With that said, each of us knows or at least are learning what our strengths and weaknesses are. We’re learning of ways to improve these daily.

And below are the three things I would like to improve on.

Effective and constructive communication

Communication seems easy on the surface, but it really isn’t. I know numerous circumstances where I needed to effectively communicate my concerns or even adding a comment, but I ended up not doing so.

This is because I nurse people’s feelings. I always think about how they will feel about whatever it is that I want to say. Although this isn’t necessarily a bad thing, there are circumstances where things need to be said in order for solutions to be found. And I am learning how to go about having such hard, constructive and effective conversations. But I wish could do it well so I can be free from lingering conversations.

Saying No

Tying back to the above point. Some situations are easy to say no to, but some aren’t. I want to be in a position to say no to anything that I don’t feel benefits me without feeling guilty about it.

Do away with imposter syndrome

If an enemy is really a thing, imposter syndrome is really an enemy of mine. It doesn’t matter how many strides I take, I still doubt myself and my abilities. If I could successfully do well at throwing imposter syndrome, I’d create at a better rate than I currently am, and I know this for a fact.
